The annual TCWLA Pathfinder’s Luncheon held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at UT Etter-Harbin Alumni Center gave honor to Kate alongside Justice Chari Kelly and Judge Aurora Martinez Jones.

One of Kate’s initial encounters with helping immigrants was her first visit to the Hutto Immigrant Detention Center where she met a family with a five-month-old child seeking asylum. She represented the family in their asylum case and successfully won the case.
